Tyrosine
N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine
Nutrient Form:
Amino Acid
Found In:
Poultry, Fish, Nuts & Soy Products
Bioavailability:
Adding an acetyl group to L-Tyrosine increases its bioavailability, which is why we’ve done just that to ensure our formula provides an enhanced absorption rate.
Description
This amino acid is the direct precursor to norepinephrine and dopamine – the two main neurotransmitters involved in mood and cognition. Stimulant medications have been found to deplete the levels of these key cognitive nutrients, which is why we’ve included it to help “jump start” the replenishment process.
Additionally, the active form of vitamin B6 in our formulas (pyridoxal 5'-phosphate, P-5-P) has a synergistic effect with tyrosine, which is essential for the conversion of this amino acid to dopamine and norepinephrine neurotransmitters.
Promotes Clarity
Tyrosine’s role in producing and maintaining dopamine and norepinephrine helps to alleviate irritability and moodiness that can be a side effect of stimulant medication. Our formula aims to improve your focus and clarity by eliminating the “ups and downs” that can result from stimulant medications, while also improving attention and other key cognitive functions.
Balances Mood
Tyrosine helps to produce and maintain healthy levels of dopamine and norepinephrine in you body, which can be depleted when using stimulant medications. By maintaining a healthy, balanced level of these key neurotransmitters, our formula helps to prevent side effects, such as temporary anxiety and irritability.
